About Underdogs

Underdogs is a World of Warcraft Classic Era guild built around a simple idea: play the game well, treat people properly, and enjoy the journey together.

Most of us originally played WoW back in the early days — from 2004 onwards — and returned to Classic because we missed the challenge, the community, and the slightly chaotic magic that came with it. Some members are veterans from the original era, while others are newer players discovering Classic for the first time. What matters most to us isn’t when you started — it’s how you play and how you treat the people around you.

Our guild culture is intentionally relaxed but respectful. We don’t tolerate bullying, toxicity, or drama. We have players of all ages — including a few younger members — so we keep things friendly and welcoming both in-game and on Discord. Azeroth is a better place when people actually enjoy logging in.

What We Do

Underdogs focuses on PvE progression and cooperative play. That means running content together, helping each other improve, and building a raid team that works well as a group.

  • Regular dungeon runs while levelling
  • Level 60 dungeon groups
  • 20-man raid content
  • 40-man progression raids (main raid night: Friday)

We take raids seriously enough to prepare properly — with the right consumes, add-ons, and teamwork — but we never forget that we’re here because we enjoy the game. Raids should feel organised and efficient, not like a second job.

Guild Philosophy

Underdogs isn’t about speedrunning, parse-chasing, or egos.

  • Respect the guild.
  • Respect the raid.
  • Respect the people you’re playing with.

If everyone does their part — showing up prepared, listening to raid calls, and helping each other out — the content falls into place naturally.

Progression matters to us, but community matters more.

Raiding with Underdogs

Our raiders hold the Alpha rank, meaning they’ve agreed to the guild’s raid and loot rules and shown they’re ready to contribute to progression.

Long-term raiders may earn High Alpha status, recognising the effort they’ve put into helping the guild progress and clear new content.

Loot is distributed using an EP/GP system, which rewards attendance and participation while keeping the system fair and transparent for everyone.

The Underdogs Spirit

The name Underdogs is deliberate.

We’re not trying to be the loudest guild, the most elitist guild, or the guild chasing server fame. We’re the guild that shows up, works together, and gets the job done — usually with a bit of humour and the occasional chaotic pull along the way.

Because in Classic WoW, the best memories rarely come from perfect runs. They come from the nights where everything almost fell apart — and the guild pulled it back together anyway.
